Admission Procedure of MP Board Schools -
Any student who has passed class 8th from any State Board or Central Board of Secondary Education can take admission in any government or recognized school of Madhya Pradesh Education Board.
In MP Board affiliated schools, admission to class 9th is generally done before 30th June, whereas in government schools, the last date for admission to class 9th is till 30th June.
Syllabus -
In the schools run under the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department, the curriculum issued by the Board of Secondary Education is taught in Class IX.
BOOKS
Under the Madhya Pradesh School
Education Department, it is mandatory for the students studying in class nine
to study six subjects Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Science and Social Science.
However, in many government schools, various courses are conducted under
vocational education. Instead of Hindi, English or Sanskrit, students can study

In Madhya Pradesh , students of Class IX have to study from the textbooks run by NCRT, although which books are published by the Textbook Corporation of Madhya Pradesh.

Exam pattern
Madhya Pradesh School Education Department mainly conducts three examinations throughout the year for the students of MP Board studying in Class IX-
1- Quarterly examination
2- Half-yearly examination
3- Annual examination.
All question papers for these examinations are of 75 marks along with project/ practical work of 25 marks.
In Science subject, there is practical work for 25 marks while in the remaining five subjects there is project work.
Students have to score 33 percent marks separately in main question paper and practical/project work to pass the examination.
For students studying in class 9th, the right to five percent marks of quarterly and half-yearly examinations is added to the marks of the annual examination.
